Keighley Road.

Around 1797, a group of Kilhamites locked the doors of Mount Zion Methodist Chapel, Ogden and took over the chapel, expelling the Wesleyans who then founded Illingworth Moor Wesleyan Chapel.

A Sunday school was started in 1820.

The chapel closed in February 1877, and Illingworth Wesleyan Methodist New Chapel – designed by James Farrar – opened in March 1877.

Illingworth VicarageRef 5-814
Keighley Road. The vicarage for St Mary the Virgin, Illingworth replaced the original vicarage which became The Talbot. The vicarage was built in 1838.

When Illingworth Moor Methodist Chapel closed in February 1877, the Chapel opened in March 1877.

A new chapel, designed by Arthur George Dalzell, was built on the same site in 1900.

The datestone from the 1877 chapel has been retained in the garden
