The grave of William Finch & family at Halifax Parish Church 


Here lyeth the body of Mary, the wife of
William Finch of Halifax, watchmaker,
who departed this life the 19th of
November 1762 in the 59th year of her age.
     
Also two of their children.
     
Also Mary Finch, daughter of the above William Finch,
who departed this life June
the 18th 1777, aged 33 years.
     
Also of the aforesaid
William Finch,
who died on the 27th day of
December 1781, aged 61 years.
     
Also of Grace Finch,
his second wife, who
died on the 1st day of April
1804, aged 84 years.
     
Also of William  Pollard who died
on the 17th day of April 1814
aged 88 years.
     
Also of Mary Whitaker,
grand-daughter of the above named William Finch, who
departed this life on the 17th
of July 1844, aged 72 years.
