When it was first added to the website, it was suggested that the
photo might have been taken at Bank Top, Southowram with the
Bethesda Primitive Methodist Chapel in the background, and
that
the men may have been workers involved with the lowering of the
road at Bank Top in preparation for the tram service on Route Number
7 which was extended to Bank Top in 1901?
Later, it was suggested that it may have been taken near the United
Methodist Free Church, Southowram
[Possibly taken about 1894]
