Stonework

Some images of the stonework of local buildings

The large, early industrial building (in the background) at West Vale has been greatly added-to in subsequent years.

At one time, it was used by the Greetland & District Trading Society Limited as a place to grind, roll, mix and bag corn for resale.

David Cant comments that

the regular coursing in the gable suggests mid 19th century, and the random small and large stones in the side wall suggest rebuilding around the same time
