OLIVE LUCY  WEBSTER,
ELDEST DAUGHTER OF SERGT MAJOR JAMES  WEBSTER,
OF THE 59TH REGIMENT AND MARY ANN, HIS WIFE.
BORN 27TH JUNE 1843.
DIED 3RD DECEMBER 1868.
     
GIFTED WITH A SWEET VOICE AND CONSIDERABLE
MUSICAL TASTE, SHE WAS A LEADING MEMBER
OF THE CHOIR AT THE BAPTIST CHAPEL, PELLON LANE,
IN THIS TOWN, FOR NINE YEARS DURING WHICH
SHE GREW IN THE AFFECTION AND ESTEEM OF
ALL HER COMPANIONS IN SONG; AS WELL AS
MANY OTHERS WHO REJOICED IN HER FRIENDSHIP,
AND WHO UNITE WITH HER FELLOW CHORISTERS
IN ERECTING THIS STONE AS A TRIBUTE OF RESPECT
TO ONE WHO KNEW NOT HOW TO BE UNKIND,
