Sacred to the memory of Henry Jocelyn Barber, born October 9th 1846, died October 3rd 1899 This tablet was erected by the members of the Yorkshire Fire Brigade Friendly Society as a tribute of love and gratitude to their comrade who founded the Society and laboured unceasingly and effectively for the good of firemen and the Fire Service.
