Inscriptions on the Memorials to Jeremiah Rossendale and members of his family in Halifax Parish Church 


Here lyeth ye body of Ieremiah, sonne of Ieremiah
Rossendall, of Shaw Hill in Skircoat, who departed this life
ye 18 day of Ianuary in the second year of his age, Anno
Dom. 1694



And also ye Body of Mr Jeremiah  Rossendall
his Father, who departed this life MAY 17th
and was Interred MAY 27th 1696.



Near this place lye the remains of
JEREMIAH HOLLINGS late of SHIPLEY in this County Esquire,
and also of MARY, his Mother, Widow and Relict of
Mr ISAAC HOLLINGS late of SHIPLEY aforesaid,
She was one of the
Daughters and Coheirs of
Mr JEREMIAH  ROSSENDALE formerly of
SHAWHILL in SKIRCOAT,
     
He dyed August 23d 1738 aged 26.
She dyed May 9th aged 53.
