Inscription

In memory of the late
Dan Greenwood,
of Siddal-Wells, Southowram,
who died January 17th 1863, aged 57 years.

In him each humble virtue did appear,
a friend, a husband, and a parent dear;
he now is free from sorrow and from pain,
we part on earth to meet in heaven again.

Also Mary Lomas, daughter of the above,
who died October 8th 1877, aged 44 years.

Out of great distress she came,
washed her robe by faith below,
in the blood of yonder lamb,
blood that washes white as snow.

Also Elizabeth, wife of the above
Dan Greenwood,
who died on Monday, January 12th 1880,
in the 70th year of her age.

Home at last.

Also Maria, third daughter of the above
Dan & Elizabeth Greenwood,
who died May 27th 1918, aged 83 years.

Her end was Peace.
She desired a better country.
