The following documents mention Henry Savile and members of his family



1415, May 15. William le Drapour chaplain, granted to Thomas Drapour his brother, certain lands etc which he had of the feoffment of John Drapour his brother.

Witnesses: Rad'us de Stansfeld Henry Savell de Coppeley, Thomas del Schagh, Henry del Brigg and Richard de Wadsworth.

In his will dated 21 November 1437,


Henry asked to be buried in his parish church of Halifax. After gifts to the church and his servant, the residue of his goods were bequeathed to John Savell, Thomas Savell, Nicholas Savell and Richard Littester, drapour. He made the said John, Thomas, Nicholas and Richard Littester his executors.

Pr. 26 November 1437 by Thomas Savell and Richard Littester, power being reserved to the other executors

 

The following document confirms that Thomas was the first born son and heir of Henry:


1437 Inspeximus by Sir Thomas Savile of Grant: John Rishworth of Pontefract and others to Thomas Savile son and heir of Henry Savile of Copley. All lands in Eland.
