1440 June 26. Thomas Sayvyll de Thornyll armig. and Mergareta his wife sold to Richard Waddesworth senior a certain place in Wadsworth between the lands of John Stone on the east and River Calder on the south et terras Hered. de Stansfeld ex occidentali [and the Stansfeld inherited lands on the west] and the common pasture of Luddenden on the north.

Witnesses: Richard de Fyrthe and Henry de Southclif

His will:


in the feast of St. Edmund, Archbishop of Canterbury, after the feast of St Martin in Winter, 1449.

"I Thomas Savyll, knight, sound of mind,..." etc. Asked that he be buried in the parish church of Thornhill near the grave of Margaret his wife. Bequeathed amounts to the church of Thornhill and the priests, to the repair of the bridge of Horbery, to the Friars of Pontefract, the Friars of Tikhill, to the Carmelites of Doncaster, to the Friars Minors of Doncaster, to the house of St. Robert of Knaresburgh, to the Recluse at Beston, and others. "Residue I bequeath to my son and heir John, knight, whom I constitute my executor.
