His will, dated August 17, 1517 [here abbreviated] William Savell of Elande, generosus [gentleman]. To be buried where God is disposed. I bequeath my best beast in the name of my mortuary. I give and bequeath 20s to the use of the church of Elande, viz. 10s for a vestment, 8s in the name of a stock, 2s to the fabric of the church. I will that William Savell, my son, have all my messuages, lands and tenements with all bargains in whose hands soever they be. Residue of all my goods and cattalls, not bequeathed nor given, my debts faithfully paid, to Margaret Sayvell, my wife and William my son, whom I ordain my true executors, by the oversight of Humphry Risheforthe and Ric.
