The Todmorden & District News [15th August 1924]
Last Sunday, at Bridge Street United Methodist School, Mr Nathan Greenwood was presented with a framed photograph of himself in recognition of his long and faithful service to the Sunday School.He was appointed as a teacher in 1883.
Mr W. E. Kay, a former superintendent, said Mr Greenhalgh had set a good example of regularity in attendance as teacher and organist in the School
Nathan died 5th February 1935.

Nathan Greenhalgh was the son of Joseph Greenhalgh, the founder of Greenhalgh & Sons, dyers and cleaners of Crescent and Copperas House.He had a lifelong association with Bridge Street Methodist Chapel and School. He was a former teacher and superintendent and at the time of his death was the assistant superintendent.
Formerly he was organist of the Sunday School and he was at one time president of the Todmorden and Hebden Bridge Christian Endeavour Union.
His funeral will take place tomorrow at Lumbutts

Inquest at Fleetwood into the death of Mr Nathan Greenhalgh (66), retired dyer of 38 Nutfield Street, Todmorden, who died in Fleetwood Hospital on Tuesday (5th February). He was on holiday in Fleetwood when he had a fall on Poulton Road on the 3rd of January and broke his arm.His son, Percy Greenhalgh, said his father had been treated for heart trouble. After his fall he was treated at Fleetwood Hospital then allowed to leave. At the end of February his father became much worse and went back to hospital on Monday

Inquest into the death of Nathan Greenhalgh (66), retired dyer of Todmorden, died in Fleetwood Hospital on Tuesday (5th February). His son, Percy Greenhalgh, said his father had been treated for heart trouble for the past two years.On the 3rd of January, Percy Greenhalgh had received a telegram saying his father had been treated in hospital for a broken arm following a fall while out walking. After treatment, his father was discharged.
On the 24th of January, Percy Greenhalgh returned to Fleetwood and found that his father's condition had deteriorated. His father was taken to hospital on Monday and died the following day.
Susie Peake of Hollywood Grove, Fleetwood, said that Nathan Greenhalgh, her father in law, had come to stay with her periodically for the past six years

The late Mr Nathan Greenhalgh of 38 Nutfield Street was remembered in a service at Bridge Street Methodist Church. The Rev E. H. Johnson madeappreciative reference to services rendered to the causeby him.
He was also mentioned in a meeting at Bridge Street School where lifelong association with the School was mentioned.
At the time of his death, he was the assistant superintendent of the School
