How to find a surname on the Companion

If you want to find entries for any surname on the Calderdale Companion such as Quinn you can

  1. Go to the URL window on your browser
  2. Enter the address for the Q page

    calderdalecompanion.co.uk/q.html

  3. and add the surname that you are looking for

    calderdalecompanion.co.uk/q.html#quinn

  4. then hit Enter.

    If the surname does appear, you will be taken to the first (oldest) member of people called Quinn.

    If the surname has a separate Sidetrack for all the people called Quinn, then you will be taken to an entry like

    Quinn ...

    which you should click to take you to that Sidetrack.

    If there is no such surname, you will be taken to the top of the Page
