When Square Independent Chapel closed, some of the gravestones were moved from the Graveyard to Stoney Royd Cemetery for reinterment – as described in the Foldout.
Later, it was decided to remove 115 of these graves and break the stone up for hardcore. These stones were rescued and taken to Lister Lane Cemetery. They now form a path at the eastern side of the Cemetery.
